At the February 13, 2024 council meeting, the Village of Glandorf Council approved a water rate increase which will be effective on the April 1, 2024 billing.
The Village of Glandorf contracts our water supply from the Village of Ottawa. Since 2020, there has been a cumulative water increase of 25% and a cumulative sewer increase of 24% from the Village of Ottawa. These increases are mainly due to the Water Treatment Plant capital improvements and the rising cost of operating supplies. The Village of Glandorf has done everything possible to maintain our current rates over the last 4 years.
After reviewing the village’s water and sewer funds, the Village of Glandorf Council and the Board of Public Affairs have determined that there is a need to increase the water usage rate by 7% effective on the April 1, 2024 billing. The current rate of $6.12 will be increased to $6.53 per thousand gallons used. It was decided at this time to not increase the sewer rate.
